Lovely service and lovely food! Big fan of their bowls as well as their breakfast items. My friend raves about their crispy potatoes with aoili! My personal favorite is the egg and grain bowl with halloumi. Next time I'll look forward to trying some pancakes!

My friends and I came here for brunch last Sunday at around 10am. We were a party of 4 and sat on the patio table closest to the entrance, even though it was humid out (it was too cold inside). We had moved there because it had started to sprinkle a little bit and we saw that table had a nice umbrella. The hostess was lovely and friendly. We each ordered matchas: 2 vanilla matchas with oat milk, 1 strawberry matcha with oat milk, and 1 strawberry matcha with regular milk. When trying to figure out which of the strawberry matchas had oat milk, apparently, our server said all of the matchas had oat milk. Our friend never ordered oat milk with hers so I guess our server didn't pick up on that, forgot, or just assumed we all wanted oat milk... Once we took our first sips, it turned out our matchas were very watery and lacking flavor, particularly the vanilla matchas. After realizing this, I was ready to speak up about it next time our server came around in the hopes that we could order a coffee instead. He never came back to check on how the drinks were. And when he did finally come around to check in on us we were all done with our food. Not to mention, he also forgot the salt and pe

Drift Cafe in Chapel Hill is excellent. 10/10 would recommend. I've gone for brunch at least twice a month for the past year and the food has consistently been top notch, especially the breakfast burrito. Every person I've brought with me has agreed. If you're going on a Saturday/Sunday morning go early, they're popular. But the best part about Drift is the coffee bar. The manager & baristas are so kind (special shoutout to Theo) and their coffee is phenomenal. They're always nice even when busy. Definitely worth a stop if you're in town.

I love coming to Drift after a hard workout at my local Burn Bootcamp. The avocado toast and veggie burrito always hit the spot. I also love the green smoothie and, when feeling naughty, I order the Nutella french toast. What. a. piece. of. art. in ma tummy 😋 Highly recommended! Gina is always our server on Fridays and she rocks! (plus most personnel speak spanish)

This was our second visit to Drift Coffee in Chapel Hill, and it confirmed why we came back in the first place. The food was excellent across the board, and the atmosphere continues to be warm and inviting without feeling overly busy or rushed. Stokes was our server both attentive and genuinely cheerful throughout the meal. He struck that rare balance of being present when needed while still letting us enjoy the experience. Service like that makes a real difference. Really impressed with the consistency here. Drift continues to be one of our favorite spots in Chapel Hill, and we’ll definitely be back again.
